He started to make films at the age of 15.

Then, in 2005, Christian graduated in Cinematography from Film University Babelsberg with the award-winning feature film „PingPong“, directed by Matthias Luthard. It premiered at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, where it won two awards. Many more around the world followed.

Since then among other nominations and prizes won, Christian was nominated twice (2009 and 2011) for the German Cinematography Award.

He works for documentaries, short films, series and feature films all over the world.
